Anti-inflammatory “No More Aches and Pains” Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie bowls are a great way to take your smoothies to the next level! Smoothie bowls turn a smoothie into a meal by creating a thick smoothie base and adding your favorite ingredients on top. This recipe is loaded with ingredients high in anti-inflammatory properties to help get rid of those aches and pains! And if you love green smoothies, add 1 cup of your favorite fresh greens to this recipe for an extra nutritional boost!

1 serving


1 medium frozen banana, chopped
1 cup frozen raspberries
¼ avocado
1 cup nondairy milk of choice
2 teaspoons Natural Calm Raspberry-Lemon flavor
Toppings of choice (fresh fruit, chopped nuts, coconut flakes, etc.)



1. Add banana, raspberries, avocado, milk and Natural Calm to a blender. Blend until smooth.

2. Add toppings and enjoy immediately!

    I got this response when asking Natural Vitality if I could put just the powder of Calm in a smoothie:

    The Natural Calm product can be added to juice, a smoothie, or any other non-caffeinated beverage as long as it is activated with 2-3 oz. of hot water first, and then the small amount of water and product are added to the alternative beverage. The Natural Vitality Calm drink is in a powder form as Magnesium Carbonate and Citric Acid. When you add the powder to 2-3 ounces of hot water you will notice a fizzing reaction occur briefly, it should only last about 20 – 30 seconds and then it should calm and clear as the powder dissolves; this reaction ensures immediate chemical conversion of the Magnesium Carbonate and the Citric Acid into Magnesium Citrate. After this reaction has fully completed you can be sure that it has converted into Magnesium Citrate, the most absorbable form of Calm; you need water to ensure that this reaction occurs completely and correctly.

    If you are going to be taking the Natural Calm with something other than water you will want to make sure that you are getting adequate water throughout the day and staying well hydrated. Magnesium requires water to be absorbed and utilized properly in the body, and if you are taking it with something other than water, and not replenishing your water intake and staying properly hydrated, overtime the magnesium can cause dehydration and/or constipation.
