Detox Snacks (Yes, there is such a thing!)

Snacks and detoxing may seem like oxymorons, but many experts agree that starving isn’t such a good thing. Here are three to keep close by.

  • Chia sipper. Put half a tablespoon of chia seeds in a glass of juice and stir well. Surprising at first, the al dente texture of the seeds in the juice makes for a fun drink. Plus, you’ll get fiber, essential fatty acids, magnesium and even protein.
  • Dried tart cherries are loaded with antioxidants and have potent anti-inflammatory properties. They’ve even been linked to longer sleep time, so try a handful for a healthy nighttime snack.
