Mother’s Day Cacao Smoothie Bowl


This Cacao Smoothie Bowl is decadent enough to feel like dessert, but healthy enough to call breakfast. This powerful bowl is loaded with antioxidants from the cacao, along with a serving of greens, plus healthy fats and protein from the hemp seeds. It’s the perfect way to start the day for the mom in your life.

Ingredients

2 medium bananas, frozen
1 cup spinach
1 tablespoon cacao powder
⅔ cup nut milk
3–4 ice cubes

Toppings
⅓ banana, sliced
2 teaspoons hemp seeds
¼ ounce dark chocolate, chopped
2 tablespoons almonds, chopped

Directions

  1. Add bananas, spinach, cacao powder, nut milk and ice cubes to a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into your favorite bowl; then top with banana slices, hemp seeds, dark chocolate and almonds.
  3. Enjoy immediately.
